Illume Return Policy

Mode-sty and Illume want you to be fully satisfied with your gown, and will diligently work with you to make this happen.  For your convenience, you can return your items for free.  This service is available in the contiguous United States, only. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your gown, we will accept returns or exchanges under the following conditions.

Conditions:

  1. Gowns must be in new, unworn, unwashed, undamaged and unaltered condition.  They must be clean and free of makeup, lint and animal/human hair and intact tags attached.  Merchandise that is not returned in the condition it was sent will not be returnable and you will be obligated to the full purchase price.
  2. Items should be returned in their original packaging to ensure they are adequately protected in transit.  For your convenience, you can return your items for free using a prepaid label that will be sent to you when you initiate the return.  
  3. All returns must be postmarked within 7 days of when the shipment was dropped off from the carrier.  
  4. Refunds will be made in the original form of payment.  Simply follow the return directions on the packing list included in your order.  
  5. Clearance items are final sale and cannot be returned. 

Making a Return or Exchange

Gowns will arrive with a POS pre-paid Ground label.  The pre-paid, pre-addressed label will be included in your shipment, in addition to your packing slip and return/exchange form.  Please fill out the applicable return or exchange information and enclose it in your package.  To use the shipping label, remove or cover the original shipping label.  No postage is required; and there is no charge for using the label.  Please record your tracking number if you would like to track your return’s progress to us.  Upon mailing, your return will be received and processed in approximately 2-3 weeks.  UPS pre-paid shipping labels are only available within the contiguous United States.  If you choose not to use the pre-paid label, please send your gown return via an insured and trackable shipping method to the following address:

Defective Merchandise

We closely inspect every piece of merchandise that leaves Illume.  All merchandise that leaves is brand-new and defect free.  Once your package has arrived, we encourage you to open and check to make sure that the dress meets your requirements.  Try your dress on without removing the tags, altering, or washing the dress.  If you feel your merchandise is damaged, we must receive an e-mail at sara@illumegowns.com, within 24 hours of receiving package, with persuasive pictures attached.  We will verify and apply refund.  We do not give refunds on damaged items unless these steps are followed within the 24-hour time frame.  

Shipping damages must be noted at the time of delivery with the carrier.

Late Returns

Your item(s) should be returned in its package postmarked to us within 7 days of drop off from carrier.  Returns outside these time frames may be accepted at the discretion of Illume and Mode-sty and may only be refunded as a store credit.  

Canceled Orders

Illume gowns are made just for you!  After your order is placed it goes into our production line and CANNOT be canceled.  

 

Illume gowns are not made until your order is placed and will arrive in 4-6 weeks.
