Modest Black Dress

by Yonit Willis, modest fashion blogger at Miss Mellalina

Meet Courtney, a graduate of the Art Institute of Portland who currently resides in Brooklyn, New York with her husband. Courtney is no stranger to color theory and she's a huge fan of interior design, photography, and design arts.

Here's the body-positive message she had to share with us: "To me the art in fashion is not about showing excessive amounts of skin, but rather to merely use clothing and accessories to show who I am. I am my own muse. When people look at me, I want them to see ME, not just my physical body. I think anyone CAN achieve a look that shows their inner artist no matter what size they are. It takes lots of work (shopping, experimenting, tailoring), confidence, faith & respect for yourself. Experimenting is the key. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect." And after browsing through these shots, we think she may just have reached perfection!

Be sure to check out her blog Captured Color and then head over here to meet another blogger who's not afraid to go bold.
